| This little book was inspired by a similar book I had seen on the internet, but I did not save it, and for the life of me I have no idea when or where I seen it!! So I made what I thought I had seen. That is really a bit normal for me anyway . I am always seeing something different that what it really is!! |

Mixed Media Mini Folder and Collaged Zine with Jean Stambaugh Peter
| It was a true struggle to come up with just the right thing to share! But after a little digging in the stash I came up with something kind of fun and bright!! I know we all buy supplies, they were on sale , they were clearance, or maybe the were just for sale!! We have the best intentions but sometimes we put it away really well!! I ran across this package of 2 mini folders, and being in a zine state of mind, I felt this was perfect!! Besides I have not shared much of my collage work!! |

Sticks and Stones...a Wall Hanging with Jean Stambaugh Peter
Sticks and Stones ...I did not know for sure what this was going to be when I started it, but I knew the title would be Sticks and Stones! When starting this I noticed there were a lot of lines and circles; I think that is where the name came from. I am not good at naming my pieces so its a big thing coming up with a name so early!!
|
I took a lightweight canvas napkin (on clearance for $1.50 for a set of 4!!!) and painted it!! Using metallic paints and the 5x5 Gelli Plate I did a series of prints lined up to fill the square. Then I over-stamped with the circle plate. Grabbed me some acrylic paint, stencil, markers and brushes, and doodled and stenciled accents!! Then I thought of what it could be .. book cover? Journal? Wall hanging? Bag? Pillow? The Pillow was eliminated after sewing paper to it.

Mixed Media Paint Brush Holder with Jean Stambaugh Peter
| "Wow!! Time for a new project for the OOAK design team. I am loving the challenges! I used a lot of the same products as last months project, Since I am trying to use the same supplies in as many ways as possible!! This "tool" is a paint brush roll up case but we all know a lot of possibility's for it! |
My newest product to use is the NEOPAQUE flowable extender and it works amazing!! helps with the layering of colors, and seems to deepen some of the colors, I used the dyna flow fabric paint and the fantastix pens to paint the outside of the case in splotches using the neopaque on some to give a little gradation of the colors.

WOW! Jean's project is fantastic! I would love to have one of these in my art box for sure! Don't forget you can visit Jean's blog at jeanpdesigns.blogspot.ca

Splashy Shoes with Jean!
Welcome all, I want to show you all my new shoes!! Just like a kid when they get new shoes! Only now I am older and designed my own shoes.
These started as a plain white pair of tennies, add in some Dye-na-flow paints, Fantastix brush tips, and Pentel Gel Roller for Fabric. This project was a blast to make and using the Fantastix as markers made coloring the random sections very easy and fast. The hardest part was allowing the colors to dry to avoid color mixing. I then just doodled all over them. Doodling goes way back for me it took me a long time to believe my doodling could be art! Now I doodle on everything and anywhere. I even took them to the coffee shop where a few of us meet to draw! Oh, and they were a big hit!
I dabble in a lot of medias and strive to do different! Yes I will wear these shoes, right along with my 3 year old granddaughter who has a close to matching pair!
Life is too short to stay in the lines! so I draw my own lines!!
