Mixed Media Art Journal with Jenn Engle

Hey everyone! Jenn Engle here with you today to share an art journal page.

When I want quick and easy, I reach for my Dylusions Ink Sprays. They can cover a background in no time, but it still looks fantastic. I started this spread in my mini art journal with 4 colors of Dylusions: Cherry Pie, Pomegranate Seed, Bubblegum Pink & Lemon Zest.

While that was drying, I got out some Bristol Cardstock to stamp my sad vintage lady on. Bristol cardstock is great for stamping because it is not textured so you still get a good stamped image. It is also great for coloring with wet mediums because it is super thick. I colored my lady with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and some Dylusions spray.

Back to my background, I did some random stamping all over. Then I used some Dylusions Paint in Lemon Zest with a star stencil for even more interest.

All that’s left is to add my lady and the quote which says, “Not all who wander are lost”. I backed my quote on black and white washi tape to make it stand out. And that’s it!
