This Valentine-themed Zendoodle is sure to make you ask questions. It's got that bizarre, Alice-In-Wonderland or Tim-Burton-feel to it. Is the heart plant a good presence? Or not so good? With the crazy look on her face as well as her curly-Q tentacles, she seems to lean towards the creepy side. And that little bump of a bee? Just what are his plans??? Whatever your take on this garden scene is, it's sure to wow viewers. Plus the act of just doodling is itself such a joyful meditative process. So grab a pencil, a black Micron pen, a piece of drawing weight paper, a blending stump, and a cup of tea. Create your own little weird and whimsical Valentine-inspired landscape. |

Mixed Media Art Journal Page with Leah Tees
I am using a Cloth, Paper, Scissors magazine edition for my inspiration today for OOAK Artisan Showcase. In every edition they post a reader's challenge, and in May of 2017, the challenge was flowers!

Mixed Media Art Journal with Mandy Russell
I love using little bits and baubles in my art and I truly feel quite fortunate for how abundant they are in this world. |

Rose Queen Mixed Media Project with Roberta Laliberte
I just love taking beautiful magazines and piecing together bits and bobs to create a story. Some of my favourite magazines are the Stampington mags. The Somerset Life and Artful Blogging often have beautiful photos of flowers and vintage goodies, beautiful objects that can be reborn into beautiful art. |

Art Journaling with Jenn Engle
Hey everyone, Jenn Engle here with you today! What an honor to be here on
the OOAK Artisan Showcase Blog. I’m a big fan of Shelley and the work she’s doing in the
artistic community.
|
For my post today, I have an art journal page to share. I recently got the new Dina Wakley Scribble Sticks and I am smitten! They are the perfect portable medium. You could really make a whole page using just them and a waterbrush.
This page is pretty simple, just a lot of texture and the scribble sticks.
|
To see exactly how I made my art journal spread, you can watch the process
video. I would love to hear if you guys have tried the Scribble Sticks and how
you feel about them!
|
Thanks so much,
Jenn Engle
