I love using little bits and baubles in my art and I truly feel quite fortunate for how abundant they are in this world.

Tiny buttons, gems, and plastic animals are a few of my faves which I've incorporated here in this sweet little stitched collage. There is no glue used here to hold things in place, just a needle and thread. Hmmmm, is it still a collage if there is no glue? Whatever it is, it's easy! And adorable!

I have an art journal page to share with you today for OOAK Artisan Showcase in one of my newly made art journals. I created the art journal with bristol paper cut to 4 x 6 and bound it with my Bind-It-All and some heavy weight board for the covers.

I started by putting down these star die cuts that I had. There were many different sizes and colors. I knew I was going to cover them over, so my main focus was placement. I glued them with Uhu glue stick.

Art Journaling with Jenn Engle

Hey everyone, Jenn Engle here with you today! What an honor to be here on the OOAK Artisan Showcase Blog. I’m a big fan of Shelley and the work she’s doing in the artistic community.

For my post today, I have an art journal page to share. I recently got the new Dina Wakley Scribble Sticks and I am smitten!  They are the perfect portable medium.You could really make a whole page using just them and a waterbrush. This page is pretty simple, just a lot of texture and the scribble sticks.

To see exactly how I made my art journal spread, you can watch the process video. I would love to hear if you guys have tried the Scribble Sticks and how you feel about them!
